Green Bay Packers Foundation Grant Recipient

The grant will be used to support the Wausau Free Clinic, whose mission is committed to offering no-charge, quality primary care services to low income, uninsured individuals of Central Wisconsin, utilizing highly qualified volunteers. The clinic founded in 2018, is expected to provide care to over 1,500 unduplicated individuals in 2025. The Wausau Free Clinic was honored along with 398 civic and charitable groups throughout Wisconsin that received a grant this year at the luncheon event at Lambeau Field on December 17, 2025.

“The Packers do a lot for communities in Wisconsin. So, it was a great day to be honored as a recipient. We rely heavily on grants, in-kind services, and donations to support our clinic,” said Dr. Jeff Oswald, Medical Director, Wausau Free Clinic. 

The Green Bay Packers Foundation issues grants each year to nonprofit organizations across Wisconsin. This year, the Foundation awarded $1.5 million to nonprofit organizations with a focus for funds to be used for programs or projects that address animal welfare, health and wellness, including drug, alcohol and domestic violence, civic and community initiatives and environmental causes.

With these distributions, the Foundation has distributed more than $25.7 million for charitable purposes since it was established in 1986. All grant applications are reviewed by the Green Bay Packers Foundation Trustees.
